Don't look where you fall, but where you slipped.

Thank you for taking the time to study the Fair Chase issue. Somewhere along the line, North Dakota slipped on Fair Chase. This issue will affect the citizens of North Dakota for decades to some. The question is simple: Will we enjoy hunting wild big game, or will fences and big money crowd out the average man and woman who enjoy hunting game in the wild?

If you have visited the North American Model of Wildlife Management page on this site, you know that the North American Model allocates surplus wildlife by law, not by market pressure, land ownership, or special privilege.

What kind of hunting legacy will we pass on to our children and grandchildren? The hunting heritage doesn't belong to us; we don't own it, we can't own it. We are temporary caretakers, stewards with an obligation to pass the heritage to the generations that will follow us. Good stewardship obligates our generation to pass the hunting heritage on in as good a condition, or in better condition, than we inherited from our ancestors.

Under the North American Model, the public gets a say in how wildlife resources are allocated; the process fosters public involvement in managing wildlife.

Get involved. Circulate a petition. Send a donation. Shutting down the hand full of Shooting Gallery operations in this state won't be cheap. North Dakota Hunters for Fair Chase is a grass roots organization operating on a shoestring which means we are mostly broke. The Shooting Gallery operators have big money coming in from out of state special interests. If you can't donate, circulate a petition. Get your family, friends and hunting buddies to sign the petition. Email or call one of the numbers below for a petition and instructions.

Protect what's right, protect Fair Chase Hunting.

If you have any questions concerning the Fair Chase Initiative, please contact either Roger Kaseman or Gary Masching. If you have a question concerning hunting in general, please contact us. If we can't answer your question, we will put you in touch with someone that can.
